Contributor's copies for New Micro
My contributor’s copies for Norton’s New Micro, edited by James Thomas and Robert Scotellaro, have arrived! Shapard writes, in his foreward, that these stories "matter, almost before you know it." I read the first Sudden Fiction anthology years ago, when I was in high school. Just went to my thirtieth high school reunion and I'm not sure anyone remembers, but my senior English project was on Sudden Fiction. There was no online world as we know it then, and my short-shorts are probably buried in some landfill now. Our teacher died not long after I presented, but I think Lady Catley liked it. It means a lot for me to be included.
I interrupted my kids’ Minecraft to show them and my son shrugged his shoulders (meh) while my daughter insisted I look at the mushroom cows she had just created.
I have two stories, “Mermaid” and “Colts” included in this anthology.
Can’t wait to read this cover to cover tonight.
